Windsor's East Pointe Neighborhood business park welcomed Doug's on June 24, 2019. Who's hungry?

East Pointe in Windsor off of Highway 392 and Highway 257, has been in development for a couple of years; that spot of land used to be home to Korf Chevrolet, back in the day. Speaking of 'day' - Doug's Diner has opened at  East Pointe.

It's the same family of restaurants as Doug's Day Diner, with now six locations across the Front Range, but this location may also be open for dinner at some point, not just breakfast and lunch.

I stopped in on 'day-two' of them being open. I've only eaten at the Doug's in Downtown Loveland, (which is owned separately from the other locations) so I was curious as to how this one would look. One word: BIG. Lots of seating- small tables, big tables.

The counter took me by surprise, too. Loveland's counter has this 'old-school diner' feel; the Windsor location's is a wooden countertop. Different and cool. They also have a large outdoor patio for seating. Very nice.

The menu is as you've become accustomed to at the other Doug's Day DIners- big 'Papa' servings (and Whimpies), plus an espresso bar and a great price on their cinnamon rolls.

Windsor has needed a place like this for a long time. Let's eat, or just meet.
