School Shooting Threat Sol Pais Reported Dead
The FBI Denver branch has reported that school shooting threat Sol Pais was found dead by law enforcement in a suspected suicide.
CBS Denver reports that they believe Pais took an Uber to the Echo Lake area near the base of Mount Evans. She was reportedly found dead several hundred feet past Echo Lake Lodge up Mount Evans Road.
The FBI had previously notified the public that an investigative activity was occurring near the base of Mount Evans.
Authorities were in search of the 18-year-old Florida woman who was considered armed and dangerous.
According to various reports, Pais flew in from Miami to Denver International Airport, bought a pump shotgun and made various threats to schools in the Denver metro area.
Authorities said the threats she made were general and not specific to any school.
Numerous Colorado schools along the Front Range, including most in Northern Colorado cancelled Wednesday classes as a safety precaution.
