On April 20, stoners in Colorado will partake in celebrating their favorite unofficial holiday by toking up together and uniting with like-minded herbal enthusiasts at reefer rallies, reggae concerts and other 420-themed events. While many flock to cities that are notoriously famous for their 4/20 festivities, such as Boulder and Denver, there's plenty of joints right here in Fort Collins that are throwing pot-themed parties of their own.

One option for the day, is grabbing some buds...or maybe two kinds in this case, and hitting up the Lyric Cinema Cafe for a special showing of the classic stoner flick, "Dazed and Confused." Set in the '70s, this movie takes viewers back to a radical time, during which a group of teenagers experience a coming of age, as well as a shared love for pot and partying. The sunrise toke on the football field, a script that's filled with hilarious, weed-induced insights, and a star-studded cast featuring a young Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey and Milla Jovovich, make for just a few of the many high points within the film.

The Lyric will start the movie screening at 3:30 p.m. A brief intermission will take place at 4:20 p.m. – perfect timing if you coincidentally happen to need to go get something out of your car. Tickets are just $4.20, or $7 if you would like a munchie to go with. Alright, alright, alright!
