The Taste of Fort Collins is Northern Colorado's Summer destination for music, drinks, family fun, and food. While I'm looking forward to it all, being a foodie, there are five food vendors I'm overly excited about.

Now don't get me wrong, there are many more food destinations that I'm planning on enjoying, especially some of the food trucks, but after trying what some of these had offered at Taste of Fort Collins' past, I can't wait to see what they'll offer this year.

  • Tom and Chee

Until last year, I didn't know I needed a grilled cheese doughnut in my life. They also had an amazing smores doughnut. But it's not all about doughnuts, though that would usually be enough. They offer some of the best traditional grilled cheese sandwiches you'll ever have, and they are perfect "walking around" food for the Taste.

  • Krazy Karl's Pizza

Introducing me to one of my favorite pizza toppings, cream cheese, they also have an amazing grinder I hope they bring to this year's Taste. If you've never had their Cuban grinder, you need to stop what you're doing and go there now-- it's life-altering.

  • Hog Wild BBQ

BBQ... do I really have to say more? Is there anything better than good BBQ on a summer's day? Just imagine enjoying a local craft beer and some amazing music while chowing down on some award-winning BBQ.

  • Simply Thai

A staple for my family, they have some of the best chicken fried rice I have ever had... and the rest of their menu is outstanding. A combination of Chinese and Indian cuisine, it is possible for a restaurant to screw up "Chinese", "Thai," or Indian food-- but that's not something you need to worry about here.

  • The Lost Cajun

Due to the rest of my family not being able to eat spicy food, I take advantage of every opportunity to eat cajun food, and what better place than the Taste where I don't have to share. I'm looking forward to getting some of their gumbo into my face hole!
