Colorado State Patrol shares the REAL answer in the ongoing debate of changing lanes in an intersection.

We've always been told it's illegal to change lanes in an intersection, but, surprisingly, CSP has debunked this belief.  It IS NOT illegal, or in other words, yes, it is legal to change lanes in the intersection. Seriously?

CSP posted a poll on their Facebook page allowing users to vote on which they thought to be correct: legal or illegal? 92 percent voted 'illegal,' meaning, only eight percent voted correctly. CSP says, 'There is no specific statute saying lane changes cannot happen in or near an intersection (passing is different). But that doesn’t mean it’s recommended. '

It's actually only illegal if you do it while drunk or texting. ;) So, we all stand corrected. Except for those of you who change lanes in intersections, that is.
