The inspiration for this new Led Zeppelin book comes from Stephen Davis’s notebooks that he found in an old cardboard box after 30 years. At the time Stephen was a young journalist who was freelancing for The Atlantic Monthly on Zeppelin’s 1975 tour. Unlike the book that he wrote in 1984 that depicted the band as a mythical four-man army pillaging their way across the world, this book is about the day to day things that occurred on the 75’ Tour.

There was so much material in there about Jimmy Page having this badly sprained right hand and an obvious drug problem, Robert Plant having this terrible case of the flu and John Paul Jones furious he didn't have any time in the spotlight.

This book is a  detailed chronicle of each performance from a musical perspective and a vivid account of the band members' extravagant, and often troubled, lives on tour. It includes lost interviews with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page. For true Led Zeppelin fans it’s a great way to really get a sense of what it was like during that long tour 30 years ago.  The book is called LZ-'75: The Lost Chronicles of Led Zeppelin's 1975 American Tour and is available now.
