Whether you play on a team or just for fun, buying all the necessary equipment for any sport can end up being pretty costly. However, this weekend, athletes and skiers have the chance to save in a big way, by visiting the 34th annual Ski and Sports Swap, happening at the Chilson Recreation Center in Loveland on November 4-5.

Members of the community are encouraged to sell any of their unused, gently used, or unwanted equipment, gear, and apparel to others who may need these things, and buyers will be able to purchase gear and equipment at a fraction of the cost they usually go for. These items include things like children’s and adult’s snowboards, skis (downhill and cross-country), boots (snowboard, downhill and cross-country), poles, snowshoes, ski racks, ski hats, mittens, jackets, warm-ups, bicycles, rollerblades, golf clubs, scooters, skateboards, ice skates, camping equipment, exercise gear, tennis equipment, and so much more! All ski equipment must meet safety standards, and items that are too old or unsafe will not be accepted for the swap, but can be dropped off as a donation, and will then be repurposed by ReSki Industries. Guests also have the chance to purchase discounted lift tickets and season passes, and win awesome door prizes from ski resorts and local sponsors every half hour during the swap.

In addition to gently used items for sale, there will also be brand new inventory available to browse courtesy of local retailers. The special closeout sale on these items will take place from noon to 2 p.m. on Saturday. All major credit cards will be accepted, and a portion of the proceeds will go towards Loveland's recreation programs. Hours of the swap are from 6 to 9 p.m. on November 4, and 8:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 5. Those interested in selling an item(s), can print a seller inventory sheet online or pick one up at the rec center.
