A new memorial will be placed at the post office in Masonville, to honor veterans from the Buckhorn Valley area this weekend.

A formal dedication of the memorial will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday (May 21) at the Masonville Post Office, 8669 N. County Rd. 27. Veterans and other members of the public are invited to attend the ceremony, which takes place on Armed Forces Day.

An Air Force jet will perform a flyover at 10:15 a.m. during the dedication.

Larimer County Commissioners, Larimer County Natural Resources director Gary Buffington and author Gladys Forshee are acquiring the memorial and hosting the dedication ceremony.
