It's been a staple in the Greeley community since the 1930s, but as of March 31, you'll have to pick up books, magazines and a cuppa coffee elsewhere.

According to the The Greeley Tribune, Woody's Newsstand is closing its doors at 940 9th Ave. at the end of the month.

Just like many in Fort Collins were heartbroken when Bisetti's served its last plate of pasta in Old Town, Greeley residents are sadly saying goodbye to their longtime downtown bookshop. While Bisetti's closed down so the owners could retire, Woody's story is more disheartening.

9NEWS reports that it's the same reason many brick-and-mortar bookstores, as well as small, local businesses in general, across the country are closing down — profits.
