PHOTOS: Competitors of the Fast & Furriest 5K

It was a gorgeous day to be outside on the CSU Oval as dogs and furry friends alike flocked to the campus to run 5K for the Fast and the Furriest.

The Fast and the Furriest attracted all sorts of pups...and owners, too. Check out the gallery above to see some of our favorite competitors.

Not only was it a gorgeous morning to be outside, but it was all for a great cause-- the Fast and the Furriest benefits the Companion Care Fund which, according to CSU's website, "provides financial assistance to low-income community members who need help paying for lifesaving or emergency procedures performed at the James L. Voss Veterinary Teaching Hospital".

Running for a good cause with your pup? Now that's a great way to spend a Saturday.
