Parents in Poudre School District may be looking forward to sending their kids to their first day of Kindergarten. But for full day parents, that cost has increased.

According to the Coloradoan, Poudre School District will be raising the tuition for full day kindergarten students to $2450 which is $200 more than previous years.

A $50 registration fee is also part of the overall cost.

Officials in the district told the newspaper that the reasoning for the rise in costs is to offset rising costs in the district.

Full day kindergarten will now cost parents $66 per week.

While funds are limited, families are invited to apply for scholarships to cover the cost of full day teaching if it is needed. Forms for the scholarship can be obtained from the main office of the school they are to attend.
