Not a lot of snow for Northern Colorado to kick off 2019, but it's a different story up on the slopes. Now, you may be able to ski through Memorial Day weekend. 

That's one way to kick off summer, right? While the 2017-2018 ski season was pretty bad (some resorts even had to partially close down), Breckenridge has announced that with the amount of snow they've been getting this year, there's a good chance they will remain open until Memorial Day (May 27), weather permitting.

This hasn't happened at Breck since the '90s, Summit Daily reports.

According to CBS4 Denver, Breck is approaching 200 inches of snow much earlier in the season than it has previously, and that they intend to have 'great spring skiing and snowboarding well into May.'  [Read more here.]
