Emergency crews had their first rescue of the season, as a hiker needed rescuing after getting stuck near Horsetooth Falls on Thursday (May 12, 2016). According to the Coloradoan, two people broke off from a group of hikers, to explore the falls area with them eventually getting stuck. Emergency dispatched a rescue crew at around 4:50 p.m., as one of the two hikers were able to get out. Rescue crews executed a high-angle rope rescue to help the lone climber. There were no injuries reported, and the rescue ended a little after 7:00 p.m.
