Despite a furious comeback by Northern Arizona, the UNC Bears men’s basketball team beat the Lumberjacks 62-60 in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Championship yesterday. At one point, the Bears led by 20 points in the game.

As a Greeley native, like many Rock 102.9 listeners, the excitement about the University of Northern Colorado Bears basketball team heading to the NCAA Tournament is almost unbearable! After almost a decade since the football team created similar buzz winning back-to-back division II national titles, the school had kind of went forgotten.
