The Fort Collins Breakfast Rotary Club is hoping to sell 2,400 boxes of Palisade peaches this year. Each box of peaches sold provides money to purchase one dictionary. The 20 pound boxes of Grade A Palisade peaches are sold at a price of $40 per box. If peaches are not your thing, but you would still like to help get dictionaries to the kids, you can donate $10 in lieu of buying peaches as well. Additionally, if you think 20 pounds of sweet, delicious peaches would be too much for you and your family, you can also donate peaches to the Food Bank for Larimer county. According to a news release, any excess funds go towards literacy projects or other club projects.

You can order your Palisade peaches from RotaryPeachSale.com or by calling 970-461-6481 through August 16th. You will then be able to pick up your peaches on August 20th from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the south side of Hughes Stadium during the Peach Festival.

I am off to order some peaches and I will be trying my hand at a peach cobbler!
