The 2012 Summer Olympics is all about the sports, but the entertainment portion of the festivities isn’t exactly anything to sneeze at. The Who lead the latest batch of performers that will help celebrate this year’s event.

The Mirror reports that the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers just signed on to play the Olympic Games Closing Ceremony alongside George Michael, iconic boy band Take That, and rising female pop star Emilie Sande. The concert will take place Aug. 12 at London’s Olympic Park.

There’s also a second concert celebrating the end of the Olympic Games taking place in Hyde Park featuring Blur, New Order, and the Specials the same day.

Having the Who close out the Olympic Games just adds to the classic rock quotient, as Paul McCartney will headline the Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. In addition to McCartney’s set, there will be an Opening Ceremony bash featuring Duran Duran, Snow Patrol, Paolo Nutini, and Stereophonics at Hyde Park July 27.
