Truck Smashes into House in Loveland; Leaves it Uninhabitable

Three pickup trucks were involved in a collision in Downtown Loveland on Saturday (April 27, 2019), with one of them crashing into a house.

A 27-year-old driver was arrested later on Saturday after he fled the scene of an accident he's accused of causing, that has a family staying with friends now.`

The Reporter-Herald has the story on how on Saturday (April 27, 2019,) at around 4:30 p.m, three pickups collided, after one of the trucks ran through the light at St. Louis and First Street. The driver of that initial truck proceeded east and north, crashing over the sidewalk on St. Louis, through the lot's bushes and then into the front of the house on the northeast side of St. Louis and First.

Though there were folks inside the house at the time, no one was injured. But the crash hit a load-bearing wall, leaving the family who resides there looking for shelter until it can be repaired.

The driver took off after the incident, on foot. He was tracked down about an hour later and arrested on charges including attempted vehicular assault, DUI, and leaving the scene of an accident.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law. An arrest is merely an accusation by law enforcement.
