University of Colorado Health plans to build a “full-service” hospital in West Greeley.

UC Health has submitted preliminary plans to the city of Greeley’s planning department to build a medical campus that will include the hospital on 21 acres between 65th and 71st avenues south of U.S. Highway 34.

According to the Greeley Tribune:

The initial phase will include an ambulatory care center with medical offices, oncology and outpatient physical therapy, retail pharmacy, lab and imaging and an urgent care facility. Future phases will include additional medical office and clinical spaces, an inpatient hospital and an emergency department with a helipad.

Biz West reports that UCHealth plans to begin construction this summer and hopes to open the first phase of the new Medical Center in 2017. University of Colorado Health acquired the vacant land from St. Michaels Commercial Enterprises LLC in February for $2.8 million.
