Van Halen’s “Jump”

The year was 1984, I can still remember hearing this song screaming though the speakers at the Perth Amboy Roller Rink in New Jersey. Zooming around the rink in my roller skates and mullet I have never felt so alive! What a great band, great song and great year! Might as well JUMP! It is the only single the group released in their career to reach number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. It was released in 1984 as the second track on the album 1984.
